Abstract: 

Introduction: Clinical teaching is the core of nursing education. Nursing profession is a performance-based professional. The purpose of this study is to determine the rate of achievement of clinical education goals in the basic and fundamental norms of nursing students using the CIPP model. Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 54 nursing students of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty in Qaen in 2018. The samples were selected in a pediatric ward and were evaluated based on the checklist. Data were analyzed using SPSS18 software and with tests of descriptive statistics. Results: The results showed that nursing students were different levels from very good to weak in performing basic skills. Conclusions: In this study, nursing students have some deficits in some of the skills and it is suggested that provide more opportunities for students to correct their weaknesses.

Abstract: 

Introduction: It is possible to formulate and execute programs, to achieve ideals and goal using EVALUATION. In reality, EVALUATION of a self-care education program can determine the degree of adaptation of the program and identify effective factors in improving the program. The aim of this study was to investigate the EVALUATION of the self-cared educational program of diabetes type II based on the CIPP(Context, Input, Process, Product) EVALUATION model in the city of Mobarakeh in 2018. Methods: This study is descriptive and program EVALUATION based on the CIPP EVALUATION model. Information was collected in a cross-sectional fashion. Eighty one males and females participated in this study by the census method included the head of health center in the city, an expert in controlling diseases, an expert in charge of non-capture diseases of the city, health care observers in centers and health bases. In order to collect information, CIPP EVALUATION information questionnaires developed by the researchers. The gathered data were analyzed both descriptively and inferentially using chi squre tests, independent t-tests and ANOVA tests. Data was finally analyzed by SPSS version 22 Results: The results of this study based on CIPP EVALUATION model showed that the average of EVALUATION scores were like these: In the domains of Context (4/32± 0/47), Input (3/87± 0/35) were significantly lower than the average, process (4/17± 0/34), and though the mean score of input (4/41± 0/40) was higher (p<0/05). The results revealed that the Mean Score based on CIPP EVALUATION model in three domains including context, process and output is desirable and input is semi-desirable. Conclusion: Based on the EVALUATION results, it is recommended to evaluate the program regularly and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the program.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Education quality improvement is one of the main goals of higher education. In this regard, has been provided various solutions such as holding educational Shahid Motahari annual festivals, in order to appreciate of educational process, development and innovation educational processes and procedures, preparation of calibration standards and processes of accrediting educational. The aim of this study was to comprehensive evaluating of educational Shahid Motahari festival during six periods (2008-2013) based on CIPP EVALUATION model.Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted among the 473 faculty members include; deputies and administrators educational, administrators and faculty members of medical education development centers, members of the scientific committee and faculty member’s participants in Shahid Motahari festival from 42 universities medical sciences of Iran. Data collection based on self-report writing questionnaires. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 20 at α=0.05 significant level.Results: The subjects reported 75.13%, 65.33%, 64.5%, and 59.21 % of receivable scores of process, context, input and product, respectively. In addition, there was a direct and significant correlation between all domains.Conclusion: According to the study findings, in the EVALUATION and correlation of domains models, we can explicitly how to holding festivals was appropriate and the main reason for the poor EVALUATION in product domain is related to the problems in input and product domains.

Abstract: 

Since the Iranian Ministry of Education trains its school teachers at its teacher training centers across the country, this study was designed to evaluate the TTCs of Khuzestan comprehensively. In the course of this research, first the four factors of ground, input, process, and output were designated. Then for each factor appropriate criteria were worked out: six criteria being allotted to ground, seven to input, eight to process, and three to output, totally 24 criteria. For each criterion, indices and standards were defined on the basis of which judgment could be made about the condition and merit of each factor and criterion. The method used in this study was descriptive of the survey category. This study had the seven sub-populations of educational experts, principals and their assistants, students, budget personnel, library staff, faculty members, and graduates of five TTCs (three for women and two for men) during the two academic years of 1382-1384 (2003-2005). Data were gathered by means of 10 instruments comprising questionnaires, interviews, checklists and filed documents. Findings showed that these 2- year training institutions have been able to fulfill their set goals appropriately. The status of these centers was evaluated to be relatively appropriate in terms of geographical, socioeconomic and cultural grounds. The input of these centers and also their processes covering structural/organizational make-up, teaching/ learning activities, and services and support resources were found to be relatively acceptable. Finally, the outputs, i.e. its graduates, were rated as highly acceptable.

Abstract: 

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the curriculum of externship for public health course in Yazd University of Medical Sciences using the CIPP model (context, input, process and product). Methods: In this descriptive cross sectional study, Participants included 40 public health students of Shaheed Sadoughi University of Yazd and 5 instructors who entered to the study by census method. Data was collected using CIPP model checklist questionnaire. Externship curriculum of public health course was assessed by students and trainers in four context, input, process and product aspects. Sum of scores in each aspect were calculated; mean and standard deviation were calculated separately. Moreover, T-test was used to compare the answers of students and professors. Results: Students attitude was significantly different from trainers attitude in context aspect (P-value = 0. 04) but the difference was not significant in the other three aspects (P-value < 0. 05). Correlation matrix of students’ attitude showed a positive significant correlation between context, input, process and product aspects. Significant associations were observed between context and input (r = 0. 842, P < 0. 001), context and process (r = 0. 744, P < 0. 001), and context and product (r = 0. 793, P < 0. 001). Correlation matrix of professors’ attitude showed a positive significant correlation between process and product (r = 0. 981, P < 0. 001) but no other significant relationships observed. Conclusions: Designing and Conduction assessments based on CIPP model can help science development in externship and effective performance of externship curriculum and help students achieve professional abilities. Consequently, this study suggests performing studies for science development in externship curriculum.

Abstract: 

Background: EVALUATION, as a continuous quality improvement tool, determines the strengths and weaknesses of training programs. The outcome of this EVALUATION, therefore, can lead to the reinforcement of program’ s positive aspects and modification of its insufficiencies. As a result, this study aimed at evaluating the quality of undergraduate nursing education program in Ahvaz in 2015-2016. Methods: CIPP model-based-self-constructed questionnaire was administered to 60 nursing students. The questionnaire consisted of two parts. The first part recorded students’ demographic data and the second part evaluated nursing program’ s value in terms of content, input, process, and output. Score of the questionnaire categorize into non desirable, desirable, and relatively desirable. Data were analyzed by conducting descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: According to the participants, the context, input, process, and output of this undergraduate nursing education program were desirable. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between four areas of context, input, process and output (p=0. 01). The highest score among the four aspects of CIPP was related to the “ process” with an average of 49. 38 ± 10. 79 and the lowest score was related to the “ output” with an average of 14. 25± . 3. 05. Conclusion: Although, in general, nursing students were satisfied of this undergraduate program, in order to achieve the optimal result, the school and university officials should try to enhance the quality of the educational programs through revising course materials, upgrading instructors’ knowledge of teaching methods and assessment techniques and improving instructors’ communication skills.
